Personal Data Assistant (PDA) is a term used for hand held devices that provide instant access to data that has been down loaded from a larger system. These are the electronic equivalent of a briefcase full of price lists, customers lists, etc. However they can also receive email and browse the web if they are connected through a modem or some type of wireless connection.
